Black Eyed and Bluesfest will be on June 7 (Friday) starting at 5:00 PM. Outside at Bushnell Park, in Hartford with food, alcohol, and music - featuring Rich Badowski Blues Band, Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez, Jeff Pitchell & Texas Flood and Barrence Whitfield & The Savages.

Mystic Blues Festival will be June 28, 29, 30. The week end will kick off at the Mystic Shipyard and extend to Mistick Art Cinemas, The Mystic Marriott, and the Knickerbocker Cafe, in Westerly RI. An extensive line up including James Cotton, James Montgomery, Roomful of Blues, Debbie Davies, Christine Ohlman & Rebel Montez, Matt "Guitar" Murphy, Sugar Ray & The Bluetones, Greg Piccolo & Heavy Juice, Kal David with Jeff Pevar, Jeff Pitchell, Ryan Hartt & The Blue Hearts, Dan Stevens, Fran & Bob Christina, Mystic Horns, Neal Vitullo & The Vipers and many more.

Invitational Blues Jam, at the Pine Loft, in Berlin CT, is presented by Tom Retano and sponsored by AT&T and the Pine Loft. The jam is headlined by Rich Badowski Blues Band (Jan 6), Mike Crandall Band (Feb 3), Tom Sanders Band (Mar 3) Jr Krauss and the Shakes (Apr 7) and Petey Hop and the Jack Rabbits (May 5). Music from 2:00 to 5:00, No Cover.

2 Left Feet Festival is Sept 14 (Sat) and will be held in East Hartland (northwest part of CT). The entertainment will feature Shemekia Copeland, Eddie Shaw & The Wolf Gang, Anthony Gomes, Biscuit Miller & The Mix, and the Rich Badowski Blues Band. There will be a fund raiser at the Old Well Tavern, in Simsbury, on April 13, starting at 6:00 PM.

KBA: Recipient of the "Keeping The Blues Alive Award", in 2010, for the BEST ORGANIZATION Since it was founded in 1993, the Connecticut Blues Society has been at the forefront of all blues events and programs in the Nutmeg state. Though most of its events are music related - supporting weekly jams at a variety of Connecticut blues clubs, sponsoring many blues festivals and events, and running the most extensive IBC Band and Solo/Duo competitions - the CTBS is also very active in many service programs. In the past, it has run benefits for the March of Dimes. It also holds two events each year raising funds with the local Hannon-Hatch VFW Post. In addition to its education outreach programs, CTBS also assists with monthly concerts at the Connecticut Veterans Home and Hospital. Because this Society covers an entire state, it offers a model of music, history and community service for any other affiliated society.
